OUR STAFF

Meet the team.

NATE DOOLEY

lead pastor
Nate is husband to Stacie and Father to London, Deakon and Aspen. He felt a call to full-time ministry while studying Business Marketing
at the University of Louisville.  He Graduated from Southern Theological Seminary in Louisville, Ky with a Masters in Divinity. He began pastoring LIberty Church in 2022.

He's passionate about seeing people come to know Christ and walk with him daily.  He's an avid sports fan and an amateur golfer.  You may have heard about him, as the ping pong and badminton champion of Intramural sports at the University of Louisville.

STACIE DOOLEY

Stacie Dooley is passionate about growing in her faith and encouraging others in their walk with Jesus. She attended the University of Louisville and is grateful for the opportunity to be part of the Liberty Church family. She is married to Nate, and they have three children: London, Deakon & Aspen.

Outside of Liberty, Stacie enjoys reading nonfiction, taking walks around the neighborhood, and jumping on the trampoline with her kids. Her favorite scripture is Isaiah 26:3, which reminds her of the peace that comes from keeping her mind focused on the Lord.

RACHEL LAWSON

kid's director
Rachel has been serving as the Kids Director at Liberty Church since June 2026. This is a role that is near to her heart as she loves being a part of helping the next generation to love Jesus. She is married to Daniel and they have 3 children: Hayes, Hardy & Hyatt.

Outside of Liberty, she loves baking, Georgia Tech football, going to the movies, listening to music, watching her kids play sports, and working on projects around the house. Fun fact: Rachel went to school for dental hygiene and worked for many years in the profession before the Lord opened doors for her to step into ministry.

SARAH CAIN

operations manager
Sarah Cain is Liberty’s Operations Manager. She has been part of the Liberty family since 2000 and has served on staff since 2009.
Sarah loves seeing lives changed and being part of a body of believers who share one heart and one goal: bringing others to Jesus. She and her husband, Jeff, have three grown children.
When she’s not serving at Liberty, Sarah enjoys reading, watching documentaries, playing word games, and eating anything spicy. She’s also an audible thinker, so you’ll often hear her say, “It’s fine, it’s fine, it’s fine.”

“You can’t stay in your corner of the forest forever. You have to go to them sometimes.”

JONATHAN SANTIAGO

media director
Jonathan Santiago enjoys exploring the creative and technical sides of life. He has studied at OFTC and MGSU and holds multiple tech certifications. He has over 7 years of experience in videography and graphic design, and more than 15 years in IT.  Jonathan is married to Jessica, and they have a son, Gade.

When not serving at Liberty, Jonathan enjoys exploring opportunities to grow his creative talents, telling stories,

learning new things, and traveling.

His favorite scripture is 2 Corinthians 4:16–18, which serves as a reminder to focus on the eternal rather than the temporary.

SHANNON EVANS

worship
Shannon serves as the Worship Coordinator at Liberty Church. She’s been involved in full time ministry for about 8 years but has served on worship teams since high school. She loves helping people experience the heart of Jesus through worship and to encourage others to step into all God has called them to. Family time with her husband and two girls is something she truly enjoys and is very important to her.

Aside from that she loves coffee, all things art, baking, new experiences and time with her closest friends. If there was only one thing she could ever share with others it would be to stand on God’s word because her favorite verse Luke 1:37 says “For no word from God will ever fail.”

JORDAN MICHELSEN

creative
Hi! I’m Jordan Michelsen, and I serve on the Creative Team at Liberty Church, where I get to combine my love for creativity, storytelling, and ministry to ultimately point people to Jesus.

I’m married to my husband, Shaun, and we have two boys, Wylder (9) and River (5). Outside of church, I’m a certified Pilates and yoga instructor who loves photography, traveling, good coffee, home design, and making memories with my family.

I believe creativity is a gift from God and that even the smallest details have purpose. My heart is to reflect His intentionality in everything I create and the way I love others, living out Matthew 5:14–16 by letting my light shine for His glory.

SHANA MCADAMS

counseling
Shana serves as a Counselor at Liberty Church and has been a licensed counselor in Georgia for 20 years. She has been counseling at Liberty for the past three years and recently joined the church staff full-time. Shana has a passion for helping people grow deeper in their faith and walking alongside them through the difficult seasons of life. Her heart is to help others move beyond simply surviving life to truly THRIVE in every area. Shana and her husband, Trent, have been married for more than 25 years. They have a grown daughter and a teenage son, and they love spending time together as a family. Outside of church, Shana enjoys watching her children compete in tennis and traveling the world with her family.
And when fall rolls around, you can be sure she will be cheering on the Dawgs! Shana considers it a privilege to help people discover hope, healing, and a deeper relationship with God as they navigate life’s challenges.

Jerry Cantu

student + young adults pastor
My name is Jerry Cantu, I am the YTH pastor and YA pastor at Liberty Church. I have been in full time ministry for 5 years, and serving in ministry for over 10 years. I love seeing our young people experience life change, I love challenging them to not just know the bible, but apply it to their life, while bringing others with them to experience the same thing.

I am married to my beautiful bride, best friend, and better half, Naz Cantu. The Lord has blessed us with 3 amazing kids: Kaylee, Micah, and Judah. They teach me, grow me, challenge me, and love well! I am blessed by them. I enjoy playing with my kids, going on date nights, working out, iced coffees, and watching & talking sports with others.

My Life Motto: Mark 12:30-31, LOVE GOD & LOVE PEOPLE.

DALTON FRANCIS

admin
I'm Dalton! I've been the Admin here at Liberty for the last year and a half, and have been serving in ministry for over a decade. I love connecting with everyone who walks through our doors during the week, and witnessing the small things that make this church feel like a family.

I enjoy playing games and hanging out with friends, reading, golfing, listening to all kinds of music, rooting for my fantasy football teams, and chilling at home with my dog any chance I get. One of my favorite quotes of all time is from Bigweld (IYKYK) who said, "See a need, fill a need." I've heard this same mindset phrased in many different ways, but that was how I heard it first, and it shaped the way I've lived my life ever since.

ZACH PHINAZEE

worship pastor
Zach serves as the Worship Pastor at Liberty Church and has been involved in full-time ministry for over 10 years. He loves helping people encounter Jesus through worship and developing leaders. Zach and his wife love doing life and ministry together with their family.

Outside of church, he enjoys music, good coffee, playing golf and watching football. One of the values he tries to live by is simple: make people, places, and things better today than they were yesterday.

AMYE PHINAZEE

guest experience
Amye serves as the Guest Experience Director at Liberty and has been in various ministry roles for more than 10 years. Hospitality is at the core of everything she does whether at the church, in her home, or in the community. She loves to make people feel loved, seen, and known. Amye and her husband, Zach, model wholeheartedly serving Jesus for their children, Charlie and Marlee.

When she's not serving at church, you will probably find her at home with a candle lit and coffee brewed (iced of course!), under a cozy blanket, cooking in the kitchen, and enjoying a homemade charcuterie board with her family and friends. Something she holds close to her heart is that no matter what life throws her way, she is fully known and loved by Jesus as read in Psalms 139.

RUSTY LEWIS

facilities
Rusty Lewis is part of the Facilities team at Liberty Church, where he helps maintain the spaces used for ministry. He attended Georgia Southwestern and is married to Linda. They have two children, Kalina & Dusty.
